THE STORY OF RIVERINA PLANTATION SHUTTERS
Riverina Plantation Shutters is a family business owned and operated by Caleb and Shannon Scott of Wagga Wagga, NSW. Caleb is a qualified carpenter and builder that has worked in the Wagga area for over ten years. Shannon is an experienced Physiotherapist who has taken time out from the profession to raise their son and the business of Riverina Plantation Shutters.
After a hand injury in 2015, Caleb sought alternate work and fell into the world of installing window furnishings. Having worked in the building industry, Caleb quickly noticed that nearly all of the white shutters sold on the market were manufactured off-shore, and commonly made from various low-grade finger-joined timber or other synthetic materials. The cheap shutters were exactly that, however due to demand, were being sold at premium prices. Being passionate about supporting local and Australian businesses, Caleb and Shannon researched suitable alternatives and thus, Riverina Plantation Shutters was created.
We specialise in handmade real timber plantation shutters, made using certified sustainable and legal Western Red Cedar, which we have been making since 2016. In 2019 we expanded our range to include order-in custom-made products, which includes Australian made plantation shutters, Australian made blinds and Australian made awnings. We are excited to be a growing business in Wagga Wagga, and enjoy helping Riverina locals design, renovate and refurbish using our window coverings.
